iFly Indoor Skydiving willopen a facility next to WonderWorks on International Drive, on April 27. Thenew facility is equipped with two all-glass wind tunnels in an opensingle-story floor plan that allows I-Drive passersby to see tourists inaction. It will replace the original location further north on I-Drive.

Walt Disney World Resort officiallydebuted the new nighttime show "Rivers of Light" at Animal Kingdom. The showcombines a live performance, floating set pieces, a soaring musical score,fountains and more in a celebration of animals and nature. Disney has alsoannounced a new Nighttime Spectacular at Magic Kingdom, "Happily Ever After,"starting May 12. The MagicKingdom show will feature the latest fireworks, pyrotechnics and originalanimation, plus a heart-tugging original score with more Disney characters thanever before.

Awards

Orlando isthe home of two James Beard Awards Semifinalist Nominees this year, for the"Best Chefs in the South" category. Both KathleenBlake, owner and chef of the Rusty Spoon, and Brandon McGlamery, Executive Chef at Luma on Park,have been nominated. Final winners will be announced at The 2017 James BeardAwards Gala on Monday, May 1, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.

FOODSTOCK Orlando is a multi-day series of restaurant social events, educational exhibits, food and live music, taking place March 1 - 4. Events benefit the Grand Tour Foundation.

Orlando City Soccer Club's new Multipurpose Stadium willofficially be completed and ready to host games on Feb. 24. Located in downtownOrlando in a developing entertainment center a block away from the AmwayCenter, the stadium will seat 25,500 and serve as official home to the OrlandoCity Lions soccer team, as well as the Orlando Pride Women's League and TheOrlando B USL. The official first game of the season is March 5.

The Florida Mallannounced new elements coming to the relocated andexpanded Footaction shoe store. Flight 23 will exclusively showcase the Jordanbrand, while Kicks Lounge will be dedicated to Nike Sportswear. Another newaddition, Armoury, will open inside a relocated and expanded Champs Sports, asthe premiere destination for Under Armour fans. All three additions open thisspring.

Transportation

OrlandoSanford International Airport (SFB) and Surinam Airwaysannounced scheduled nonstop service to Orlando from Aruba. The service beginson April 3, and will operate weekly with flights on Monday and Tuesday.
