Visit Orlando Launches New Marketing Campaign Targeting Ontario and Quebec


ORLANDO, Fla. - Visit Orlando, the official tourism association for the most visited destination in the U.S., will launch a new integrated marketing campaign in Ontario and Quebec this fall. The multifaceted campaign will include television, digital, radio, out of home, print advertising, promotions, publicity and tour operator partnerships.

Historically, Visit Orlando campaigns have focused on the Ontario market, where a high percentage of Orlando's Canadian visitors reside. Recognizing the growth potential and interest from Quebec consumers, Visit Orlando will continue on its expansion from 2013 with a targeted advertising campaign in Quebec and will once again run French Canadian advertising on Quebec television, radio and online. The expanded efforts in Quebec are in addition to longstanding programs and partnerships with travel trade partners and publicity efforts that target the entire country.

"The expanded campaign will reinforce the appeal of Orlando as a travel destination for all Canadians and assist our trade partners with generating more business from our No. 1 international market," said Danielle Courtenay, chief marketing officer for Visit Orlando.

The Ontario campaign, beginning Oct. 20 and running through Dec. 28, will drive consumers to VisitOrlando.ca, offering detailed information for itinerary planning, links to tour operator partners and Deals Made for Canadians - offers developed specifically for the Canada market. The Quebec campaign, kicking off Oct. 20 and concluding Nov. 30 will drive to a refreshed French Canadian site VisitOrlando.com/quebec, offering tailored information for Quebec travelers.

To kick off the campaign, the Visit Orlando sales team will be traveling across the country to participate in a road show series called TravXchange, a national series of exclusive meeting and marketplaces for Top Canadian Travel Agents and Global Suppliers. Travel trade professionals can register to participate in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary or Vancouver, by visiting travxchange.com/ATTENDEES.html.

Travel agents seeking to expand their knowledge of the destination and enhance their ability to help their customer base should explore the Orlando Travel Academy, (orlandotravelacademy.com), an online tool that provides education on all aspects of Orlando. Upon completion of the program, Orlando Travel Academy graduates receive the designation of "Orlando Travel Expert," as well as a listing in the "Travel Agent Lookup" widget featured on Visit Orlando's consumer website (VisitOrlando.com) and can apply for agent-only exclusive deals offered in the Visit Orlando Travel Agent Passport. As an added bonus, the first 100 Canadian agents to become Orlando Travel Academy Graduates during the campaign receive a $15 Tim Card.
